Popamed Foundation Shaping a Brighter Tomorrow

The Popamed Foundation is a private non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2003 by Dr. Alexandru Popa, driven by a deeply personal mission to support children with serious medical conditions. The foundation was born out of tragedy, following the loss of Dr. Popa’s daughter, Tina, who was born with Anencephaly and lived only three hours. This heart-wrenching experience ignited a profound desire to make a difference in the lives of children facing similarly challenging diagnoses.

Inspired by Tina’s brief but meaningful life, the Popamed Foundation dedicates 50% of Popamed’s profits to funding treatments, medical research, and clinical trials aimed at advancing care for children with life-threatening conditions. Our mission is to provide financial support and hope to families around the world who are navigating the complex and often overwhelming journey of caring for children with serious medical needs.

At the core of our work is a commitment to improving medical outcomes through innovation, research, and access to life-saving treatments. By supporting cutting-edge research and providing resources to those in need, we aim to bring hope to families and help pave the way for new breakthroughs that can make a lasting impact on the lives of children.

The Popamed Foundation is more than an organization; it is a movement born out of love, loss, and an unwavering dedication to creating a future where every child has access to the care they deserve.
